  • Comments: Fantastic race. I am saying not enough to the drink stations because they closed one of them at the end of the golf course loop on the way back. Could have really used that one.

  • Comments: Good race, door prizes take forever. This year they sent the 10ks first, so the food line was super long with 1+ hr 10kers, while the sub 1:30 halfers have to get to the back and wait a long time to get something. Also hope they go back to the old course, but I have a feeling this one is simpler from an org point of view (2 loops instead of two sections)

  • Comments: Free beer after the race, lots of food and I won another door prize for some bath stuff for the wife. Pretty popular race that attracts the faster guys - 10k had 2k people which is a lot for Banff. Forgot where I parked, so wandered a few streets carrying the stupid bath basket. And dressed in full under armor I suppose it was a funny sight for the tourists.

  • Comments: This was my 5th year running the half marathon (22km). 2001 - 1:51:45, 2002 - 1:45:12, 2003 - 1:47:23, 2004 - 1:51:19, 2005 - 1:47:16. Quite happy with my result and I attribute the 2nd fastest time for me to the improved cardio I've gotten through adding swimming and biking to my routine. Cool t-shirt my wife saw before the race - "Life is simple. Swim, Bike, Run, Eat, Sleep."
