  • Comments: Well - they need to fix the weather - I mean, why couldn't it have rained on Saturday? Nice race. Crazy amount of people.

  • Comments: Not a lot of spectators, but it could've been due to the rain and wind. I will do it again if I'm still in the area. AWESOME MEDAL!!!!

  • Comments: Fantastic race and very well run. Only minus is that it was really tough to wait 1/2 hour in that weather for a shuttle to the start line, and non-runners should not have been allowed on the shuttles (or had separate pay shuttles). Super cool surfboard medals (see below, right). The other pic is me post-race with BLUE lips.

  • Comments: Volunteers were great! Race was fun and full of energy. Parking shuttle worked very nicely. I would do it again. Maybe I will do the full marathon so I can get a banana at the end!

  • Comments: My first half...over 14,000 people and it ran very well. Great event expo (lots of vendor freebies). Really liked the surf bands playing along the course...nice people and a great location along the Pacific!

  • Comments: this was my first year doing the race. there were some organizational issues, but I certainly can't complain, gorgeous scenery, great venue, and huge expo.

  • Comments: I think this was a great event. I had never done a 1/2 and had never been a part of a race this big, but I thought it went very well. There was a lot of parking, a lot of shuttles and a lot of volunteers. Overall I think it was very organized for what could have been chaos!

  • Comments: Two things you should do in a race they say. I took care of it. 1) Negative split -- best thing is to take a porta potty in the first half! 2) Pass people - easy way is to insert about 500 people doing a 5k walk at the end of the race. It was fairly tight for the last mile as the walkers in the 5k converged with us. Felt like I was playing pachinko as I weaved back and forth trying to avoid people.

  • Comments: I ran a personal best half marathon of 1:29:13. I am very pleased that I can deliver this sort of time on very limited running training. The Pacific Shoreline is my very favorite half marathon. It is a terrific venue and and a well run race. Very fun to see so many people I know in one day...
