  • Comments: Overall, I improved by over 1 minute, actually about 2 min, when considering my slower transition times, this is due mainly to my biking. Running was the same, and swimming slower???? Perhaps, having no wetsuit??? When I consider how hard I went on each event, right at LT, I don't think that I could have gone any faster without blowing up. I have lots more work to do this summer. This was a smaller race, perhaps since the Tempe Int'l is next week, the field is split up. I notice that there are about 300 each at the events, they should merge and make it a grand event. They also could have used more water stations for the run to keep everyone hydrated.

  • Comments: I love Red Rock events. No complaints here on the start delay - these things happen and typically Red Rock is right on schedule, so no harm done. I prefer a bike course with less turn-arounds, but everyone has to deal with them the same, so again, no complaints here.

  • Comments: Red Rock is definitely my favorite race company next to Four Peaks. The timing thing was odd as they're usually on time. Great atmosphere. Organized.

  • Comments: The event was well-run and the course was pretty nice. TTL is a nice swim venue, as is the run around it. The bike had a few too many turns but overall can't complain.

  • Comments: Redrock are a great race company. Their volunteers are awesome and their T shirts and Visors rock! I got a really nice vase as an award! So glad they were able to put on a triathlon after all the bad luck they had with the lake.

  • Comments: Great race, love Red Rock events. Really enjoyed today! Couldn't have asked for more. It was a PR by over 10 minutes for an Oly....that really made me feel good about this race. Really felt some mental tools I picked up at Marquee helped me stay pushing hard on the run...

  • Comments: Red Rock Company puts on a great race. Lots and lots of volunteers and all very organized. I had my first wetsuit stripper experience and that was kind of fun :) This was only my second Oly and I PR'd by almost 25 minutes! I did better then the goals I set for the day and overall I'm happy with my first tri of the season. I know some new things to work on and I'm excited to get back to training. I've come to the conclusion that Arizona has some pretty competitive athletes :) I came in 9/9 even with getting faster. I looked up the results from my first Oly and if I had come in with my Tempe time I would of come in 10/25. I'm not looking to podium anytime soon but it was nice to know that I was racing with some fast 50-54 years olds! My niece Molly raced too and it was such a fun weekend together. Thanks for all the encouragement Molly!
