  • Comments: If this were an HFP race with HFP fees, I would give it a 5, but I expect more from a Challenge branded race with Challenge fees.

  • Comments: Good race in New Albany for inaugural Challenge, a little bit of a pain logistically with the point to point race, checking in ahead of time, riding a bus, etc. Overall happy with performance to get a 2nd AG in a fairly large race.

  • Comments: This was the inaugural event. As is the case with any inaugural event, there will be things that need to be improved, and HFP Racing has already sent out a newsletter to folks stating the huge list of improvements they promise to deliver for next year. This is definitely a worthwhile event on a very legit course.... this isn't the cakewalk course that the former Giant Eagle 5150 course was.

  • Comments: Had issues again getting times quickly. Frustrating after a race where you felt good about your time.

  • Comments: Lot's of staff. Every thing went by schedule exactly. Post race some confusion. My registration number was messed up. THey could not find my packet and I got a different number so my name was not on my bib :-(

  • Comments: Great race put on by HFP. The course was much better than last year. Waited around a bit too long to get the transition bags back after the race. The results were kind of a mess. I saw 2 women with sub 30 minute 10Ks (obvious they cut the course). Also when you put overall women and overall men in 2 separate categories, it makes it difficult for me to pull out consistent results. Plus they totally missed T1 times and put them in the bike. Only reason I really care is because I am a data junkie. Other than the results issue, it was a great event.

  • Comments: Like I told my wife, this was more about meeting the beast and getting familiar with it rather than trying to conquer it. That's for next time.

  • Comments: Kept everyone around for almost 2 hours before cancelling the awards ceremony due to progblems with the results. They blamed it on the number of penalties but later that night said it was a computer glitch. T1 times were also screwed up. On the course it was great but timing issues were a huge negative. This was my first Olympic race ever and I really wanted to find out if I broke 3 hours.

  • Comments: This was a mighty fine Point to Point race. I was very impressed with the volunteers, planning and organization. It only would of been better had I won the bike raffle.

  • Comments: I liked the actual ride and the run was pretty good. the swim needs to be deeper - period. I DO NOT CARE how the pros did. It would be nicer to have an award ceremony for amateurs. after all they are the ones paying for the race with entry and they are the target marketing audience for advertisers. Post race food from Giant Eagle was great. Overall I think it is a nice race but I don't know if I would do it again due to logistics.
