  • Comments: Overall a very good race. HR was high thoughout the race, but that probably stemmed off of whatever was going on with me this past week. The race was well organized and ran very good. They could have used some security around the transition area though. Nice course. Ill be back next year!

  • Comments: This was my first Oly race. I knew that I was a bit undertrained for this distance and I was right. Dispite all the problems and my slow pace, I was the most relaxed I have ever been and enjoyed the journey. Lots of lessons in this one. I was overjoyed that my wife and kids where there, it meant a lot to have their support. It feels great to take the next step in this triathlon madness.

  • Comments: As has been mentioned. Sara was there the night before and gave a great talk. Also, Thanks to the young lady that is starting medical school next week. The chattting during the run allowed me to finish the run without walking.

  • Comments: Sarah Reinertsen, first above the knee amputee Ironman finisher, was at the race, gave a very inspiratiional speech the night before at the pasta dinner. Got to met her and got a pic with her. As for the race, This wasmy first Oly, definitely pushed my limits further than I ever have before, if there's a body part that doesn't hurt I haven't found it yet. Did the race with a sore achillies and a swollen ankle so didn't push it as much I feel I coud have (especially the bike) so looking forward to my next oly (did I just say that).
