  • Comments: This was my first triathlon, so I don't have anything to compare it to. Even though I was physically wiped out at the end of the race, I really enjoyed competing and completing it. I am looking forward to my next race in 2 weeks.

  • Comments: Beautiful swim. Nice course. Great volunteers. Speedy old dudes (my AG was insane!), so, there was good competition. A nice course to test fitness for upcoming Oly's, as it's a bit longer than a standard sprint. Nice people at the race. Overall, I had a great morning and will likely do this one again. Quite happy with my performance (if boggled about how many really speedy guys there are from 45-49… I have WORK to do)! Great day, great people, good race.

  • Comments: i think firm does a good job with the races . Especially like the number of volunteers - for a new cyclist , racing in traffic can be scary but there were enough volunteers on the road warning cars that I didn't have to worry about that and could focus on my legs.

  • Comments: I like this race because it's only 45 minutes from my house and is small, with 200-250 participants. The course length is a bit funky -- running 5 miles after swimming and biking is very different than running 3. As I review the results, my age group is very competetive. I came in nearly 10 minutes after the woman in 5th place. Had I been racing in the F 35-39 year-olds, I would have been 5 of 12, instead of 6 of 7.

  • Comments: I did this race last year and I improved my time by 12 minutes, possible 13 if I didn't need to use the little boys room. However, I felt so much better this year than last year. Last year, I hoppled off the bike and was shot for the run. I had to walk a few times last year, where this year I was strong throughout. At the finish last year, my legs were just shot, this year, they were sore, but nothing too bad. I crossed the line with a big smile and I thanked every water station volunteer and made sure to put my cup in a garbage bag if they had one. Overall, this was a great race for me and a good convidence builder for next week. However, look at how fast everyone is who does this race!

  • Comments: Tony D beat me by like 5 min which is a lot! I was hoping to finish like 2-2:30 min behind him cuz I knew his bike split was going to be insane. (It was, he avg 26 + mph) but the extra 2:30 min were cuz of my lousy petty attempt of a swim and my chain issue on the bike. The 2nd place is a guy on his way to go Pro (I think) with a few wins under his belt and a couple of sub 4:15hrs HIM so he is a good athlete. he beat me by 3+ min. (1:30 was lost in the swim + bike issue) On the bright side I beat my time from last year by 7+ min and enjoyed most of my day. For now I am off to work on my ludicrous swim :)
