  • Comments: What a great first triathlon! Loved the event and am proud to be a member of RTC! Setup runs a TIGHT show compared to others I've worked.

  • Comments: This was a very nice event (I don't have anything to really compare it to), and will probably repeat it next year, mainly to see how much and where I improve over my first attempt. Met some other very nice and equally nervous newbies, and even managed to exchange an email address with someone from my area. The one thing I didn't care for was the run over gravel road going from pool to t1. Officials obviously did as best they could with it, so I certainly don't fault the organizers.

  • Comments: I had set a goal to break 1 hour on this course. I knew it would be tough as it was 1:40 faster then my time at PowerSprint on same course on May 31st. I figured that I would go for it and either do it or blow up trying. I was pleased with the results.

  • Comments: Being my first tri and only the second I've been to, I can't really rate it too much. There were tons of volunteers and police helping out. Not much to do between when I finished and when awards started (about 8:45 to 10:30) but get a message and sit around. There were only 2 vendor tents but I'm not sure how normal that is. Offer something besides HEED to drink and Hammer Gels... yuk.

  • Comments: Not my favorite race, but one that is easy to do. Lots of volunteers! Well organized and fun.

  • Comments: Fun race, as always. Low-key, lots of locals (many from RTC and this group called Endorphin Fitness), not an uber-competitive field, but still some talented folks. Including an 81 year old guy, and the 84 year old woman I saw at my first race ever, back at Luray in 2007! Freakin' crazy. Aside from my less-than-awesome run, I had a good race, it was fun. This is a good "tradition" race. Maybe next year, I'll actually ride my bike some more and do better!
