  • Comments: Best race to do because cheap. $15 with shirt and $10 without. Cost more in gas to drive there and back

  • Comments: I actually felt decent at the end of this race even though I suffered pretty badly on the bike then more so on the second run. Once I realized a brake block had been rubbing (went to unrack my bike and it was hard to roll!). Since the last race (a month ago) I've been sick for 3 weeks!! Whilst that wasn't 3 weeks without training, the training was very limited...on the race bike once since the last race... With that in mind I finished in almost the same time as last year so was a good result!

  • Comments: Gulf Coast Runners always put on a great event. I like my little trophey! I will definatly do the 3rd race in the series! I was very surprised at how many crazy people came out on this horrible weather day, but that's a big part of what made it fun!

  • Comments: 3 race series that is consistently one of the best bargains in racing. $10 for no shirt option, Race starts at 8, last finisher at 9:35 and awards are given by 10:00. Watermelon and cookies, no beer but for 10 what can you expect. We knew to bring our own. We had a new local runner go with us today. He rode Franks wifes mountain bike. He was first on the mtn bike and actually 10th overall. I think he did the first 2 miles in 10:30 and was pretty impressive on the mtn bike. Hopefully we will get him into a tri soon. He went home with one of my extra road bikes to try it out. Frank was 2nd in age group and 12 overall. Worm ducked me and didn't show!

  • Comments: Best $15 race around. You get a tee shirt, a challenging course and quick results, and 3 deep age group awards. Race is part of a 3 race series. We have done some of the series each of the last 3 years and I highly recommend it. Our entourage had 7 racers and 4 of them got trophies. Our girls rocked, we had the overall female champ, along with 2 age group winners (way to go Marcy). Finally, way to go H13. I knew you were gonna get me soon but I really didn't expect a 4 minute whooping. Joann's cheering must have done the trick.
