  • Comments: This is a good local race. They know how to do it. One thing I would like to see is 5 splits. You have to rely on your own timing to extract the transitions out of the bike time. The swim in does not have a timing mat, so the long run up to transition is all in the swim time. Then, T1 and T2 are both in the bike split. I would think they could set up a couple more mats and get the transition times. I like to race the duathlon as it goes off first and you have an open road (at least for the first loop of the bike and run). You can see the race develop and it's a rare opportunity to be out in the front.
