  • Comments: This was an incredible event and at $30 the value you receive is outstanding! I got a shirt, a water bottle, 10 fully stocked rest stops with food, water, gatorade, and most importantly ICE! Everything started on time and the pre- and post-ride events were great. I even found a jersey for $5! Great event, and I will attend every year I live in Texas, for sure!

  • Comments: With 20 years of cycling, I finally can asy I've ridden Hotter 'N Hell. (Temps this year weren't that bad, actually.) The event was everything I'd expected - very large yet very well organized. Might be fun to come back and actually race it one year.

  • Comments: Overall the event was great. The only problem was lack of a good "aid station" at the end of the ride. Most other rides I have been on have some food and whatnot out at the end, here there was only water and powerade - everything else was carnival food.

  • Comments: After having raced running and triathlon events, this is my first pure cycling event and I have to say that the organization and friendliness of the volunteers is outstanding. Volunteers would practically beg to hold your bike so you could go to the restroom or stretch. When I would ask for a cup of water to fill my camelbak, they would just take the camelbak and do all the filing themselves. I loved the spectators and everyone seemed so happy to have us there (I don't blame them - 14k racers brings a lot of money to the cities surrounding Wichita Falls, probably 10x as much tourism related revenue as the rest of the year combined). The only criticism I have is that the powerade and gatorade were rather watered down - if they were going to serve it in pitchers with ice, they should have made it 2x strong so that it wasn't just slightly flavored water. All in all, a great event and one I'll definitely be doing next year.

  • Comments: Race weather was amazing. Road with a friend for fun.....not trying to be competitive. I think we stopped at almost every rest stop. Rest stops were awesome, many thanks to all the volunteers. We had a blast and met some wonderful people. I will definitely do this ride again next year.

  • Comments: Awesome ride, great rest stops. Lots of accidents, but that's to be expected with 13,000 people.

  • Comments: This ride was awesome. The volunteers and aid stations were incredible - I've never seen anything like it. The only bummer was the post-race party, there should have been some free food for the starving riders.

  • Comments: HH100 is always a very professional venue. They've been doing this for over two decades now and the formula works. The race is hot and the roads are rough, but that is just a part of the experience! I'll certainly continue going to this race annually.

  • Comments: I know it took me longer than planned to finish, I was hoping between 5:40 and 6:30 max. But since this was my First Full Century Ride (like ever), I should be happy I finished, huh? Much thanks to all of the volunteers, nice riders, and 'fans' along side waving and cheering everyone on. And to you... Thanks for reading.

  • Comments: HHH is the best cycling event I think you can go to in Texas, hands down. Of course, I haven't been riding long enough to know any different. But if I have my way, I'll be making the trip out to Wichita Falls year, after year, after year.

  • Comments: The aid stations only had bananas, oranges and pickles (except the unofficial free beer stop). It would have been nice to have a wider selection. Somebody had leaned up their bike against an unmarked cop car and when the disgruntled cop noticed he picked it up and threw it several feet onto another bike. That was pretty lame. Overall a good experience.

  • Comments: The overall organization was great. Lots of drink/food stations and volunteers. Pre and post race activities were really nice too. Extremely hard to find lodging in advance (unless you book 6 months ahead)... we stayed 50 miles away.

  • Comments: Maybe it was just me, I wasn't too impressed with this event. There wasn't much to look at other than people passed out on the side of the road, and there was WAY too much chip seal. It was just an uninteresting ride. I don't know what all the hype is about HH100 other than the title and that it's been around for 25 years. It certainly didn't live up to the hype (other than it being hotter 'n hell out there) for me.
