  • Comments: Great first standalone running race for me. Excellent organization from packet pickup to post-race events. Hoping to continue to be a lottery winner in the future...although I'm not a fan of the lottery system.

  • Comments: This was a good event. Although there were a ton of people everywhere it never felt crowded and chaotic. I was impressed with the organization of everything...it was a well oiled machine. I will do this one again....I hope.

  • Comments: The atmosphere was great. I really enjoyed the live bands out on the course, and the crowds were great. The news had the numbers at over 33,000 runners, and 250,000 spectators. When I was running I was shedding my running gloves and threw them to the sidewalk and some little kid came running up and grabbed them. I felt like a star.

  • Comments: The volunteers rocked! Thank you!!! This is a really crowded race. I knew it would be but didn't think it would be the entire course including the chute. Having the convention center available is great.

  • Comments: I really enjoyed the race. I would also like to thank all of the great spectators. It is so cool to have people yelling your name as you are crossing the finish line even if you are not the winner! I will definitely do this race again!

  • Comments: Houston puts on a great race for its size, everything is well-organized and convenient, starting gun went off at exactly 7am. Tons of volunteers, well-stocked water stations, nice, fairly scenic urban course. Amenities include two shirts, including a cool-max finisher's shirt, medal, great expo and goody bag, hot breakfast at the finish, pretty much everything you'd need or want.

  • Comments: This is a huge event with tons of support. The city comes out all along the route so it's a very encouraging race to do. I will do it again next year.

  • Comments: Great race and great volunteers. There were over 17,000 runners, so it takes a great organization to pull this off. Overall, it was a great experience.

  • Comments: This was my first organized stateside race (in other words, not Army run in Iraq) since I did a 1-miler when I was in the 4th grade (and couldn't run to save my life--just wanted extra credit) and it went so smoothly in every aspect. I thought it was great, fun, lots of support, perfect weather, good course, and truly a smooth race. This was a GREAT morale booster, huge PR, and if I am in Houston this time next year or my folks are still here, I may have to run it again!

  • Comments: Fun and very organized race. It started raining when I got to Mile 13. I was so glad it didn't rain on us earlier. We went to Celeste's house for another BT get together and met more BTer's. It was fun, but we were tired. We left early and took turns driving and sleeping all the way home. {Oh yeah other Bter's were missed this weekend. Uhhh...Laurie, Derek, Haley, Aaron, Bill, Brant, and Mrs. Brandt. Wish you could have joined us!}
