  • Comments: A typical, top-notch Endorfun production. The arena finish was awesome. Having everyone basically captive provided a lot of energy for the finishers.

  • Comments: This was the kind of race I was hoping for at New Orleans and actually my fitness level was higher then than it is now. I far exceeded my expectations of what I thought was possible, my pre-race goals were... Longhorn - Think of race as 3hr warm-up to a half marathon. EASY on the bike! primary goal 4:44 (1:24/100m swim, 21.8mph bike, 7:30/mi run) stretch goal 4:40 (1:24/100m swim, 21.8mph bike, 7:15/mi run) This was without a doubt the best triathlon I've had so far. To top it off, our AG had 4 world slots and I ended up getting one so I will be at the 2010 World Championship in Clearwater :) Guess I better get some more speed in the next year so I don't get my butt kicked too badly there!

  • Comments: This race was a 24 minute PR over my first half IM distance that I did a month ago. I knew it would be great reading all the past reviews, but all the activities, seminars, entertainment, volunteers, and course were among the best I've ever seen.

  • Comments: A bit weird with the two transition areas, and a bit hard to navigate on packet pick-up day. Swim start was a little late, and the last lap of the run was a little lonely since the bands were stanting to pack up. But overall it was good, and I can't believe I did it!

  • Comments: Well run event. I like the Arena finish, but it was pretty dank in their by 2:30. I think Galveston is still a better venue, but this race is more challenging. The only thing I would add is ice baths, like the ones they had waiting for us at Kansas 70.3 Great job Endorfun!

  • Comments: I have to congratulate all of the people who finished this race and thank the organizers for doing such a wonderful job. It wasn't until I got there that I realized just how out of my league I was. Not even 6 months ago I was an obese, lazy, asthmatic smoker on blood pressure and cholesterol meds with hardly a thought of doing something like this. I friend convinced me to do a super sprint so with 6 weeks of training I managed to finish and fall in love with the sport. Another friend convinced me I could do a half this year so in June I said what the hell and started training. The expectation to finish well was unrealistic but I knew no matter what I could drag myself across that finish line and give myself a time to improve on for next year. It was the single most painful, tourturous, emotionally moving, and rewarding day of my life!
