  • Comments: I really enjoyed doing this race and really enjoyed meeting the ladies (and couple of gentelmen) from BT at the expo. Felt like such a loner at Accenture last year, so having people there you actually knew was great! Will definately do this race again next year! Also, a note for next year, the expo is outside!! It was raining on Saturday, so that was interesting! Also, a huge thanks to our BT Men jockstrappers...it was nice to have them out there cheering for us!! McFuzz...thanks for taking pictures!!

  • Comments: THere were many people here that it was hard to find each other. On the other hand, there were so many people here that the wide range of ability levels made it a great first race. I got the opportunity to pass people and to be passed. It was very incredible to know that I started in wave 10 at 7:36 and I was being passed on the run by people in the 17,18 and on waves! I'm glad this was my first race. I learned a lot about me and what I can do. I learned that I panic way too easy and need to work on my self-confidence in regards to my training. I learned that I really do want anoher bike so I will have to build that into the budget over the off-season. I learned that I'm not a quitter! When we got home McFuzz was asking me if I was going to call all of these people that we know and tell them that I finished. I could only think of one person that I wanted to tell! He wanted to tell the whole world!

  • Comments: Other than the congested and zig zag swim course, i really enjoyed this race - it was so well organized and supportive and the bike and run course was amazing. The logistics, parking and layout was beautiful. I would highly recommend it for any women's first tri.

  • Comments: This is a great first-timer tri. Being an all female triathlon, EVERYONE is very supportive. Even if their passing you at the time. ;)

  • Comments: The course for each event was very nice and it was extremely well run. Courses were well marked and lots of voluteers everywhere. This was a great experience and one I will never forget. I can't wait to do the next one - but not before some better training and preparation for the swim event. I have never had an athletic bone in my body so this felt like a huge accomplishment for me. Of course now I think I can tackle anything that comes my way :-)

  • Comments: New sponsor, same great race. This continues to be one of my favorite races. Women of all shapes, sizes, ages getting along and helping each other. What more could you want? Once you get co-ed, things get a little more competitive and you lose something that this race captures so well. I really prefer when it is scheduled in July, as it doesn't require us to run/bike in March to get adequately prepared (Chicago weather doesn't always cooperate). The weather was obviously not their fault, but waiting for that wave to start was brutal!

  • Comments: too many people for my taste. It's a great first race but waiting an hour to get in the water is nuts.

  • Comments: I really enjoy this race ... nice, unintimidating swim and FLAT bike and run courses. And because it's all women it's a "you go, girl!" kind of environment, which is a nice change of pace.
