Standing Twist w/ DumbbellMain Muscle: Abdominals Mechanics Type: Isolation Stand with feet shoulder width apart and grab a dumbbell with both hands. Position the dumbbell close to your chest with your elbows close to the body. While contracting the abs, twist the weight from left to right, using the abdominals only. Do not let the dumbbell extend beyond the abdominal region on either side. Keep the weight close to the body at all times. Do not move the head and focus on moving the abdominal region. Focus on proper breathing and do not hold your breath. The movement of this exercise is minimal so focus on the abs staying contracted as they slightly twist.
