photo Member Question: Marathon Training as a Complement to Ironman Training
I signed up for Ironman Frankfurt, next year July - and I am very excited about it. I originally planned to run my first Marathon in the middle of September, but am not sure if this is wise.

Member Question from Folkert

"This season I will be doing some running races up to a half marathon, and triathlon races up to a HIM (middle of July). I signed up for IM Frankfurt, next year July - and I am very excited about it. I originally planned to run my first Marathon in the middle of September, but am not sure if this is wise. Would this give me valuable experience, or should I be concerned about losing valuable training time both in the prep and after the event that I should use to start working on next year's IM?"
