  • Comments: Kathy Loper puts on a very low key event but at the same time, draws some of the fastest folks from the running and Triathlon community. This race is well worth the $50 entry fee :D

  • Comments: For a smaller 1/2 it was put on pretty well. Not to much before or after it was going on, so if you are into big bling might wanna consider another race. Want to run up in and around horse country ( yea in SD county) this is a cool race

  • Comments: The only reason I rate this race average is because they ran out of oranges at the end and it started a bit late (but just 6 minutes). I think they might have had other food at the top of the hill where they hand out the awards, but since I parked in the lower area, I didn't need to go up there, plus I'm not very hungry after a race, or at least not right away. I do love this course. The Hash House Harriers sponsor it and they have beer and sangria at several stations, plus the "queen" is there at 1.5 miles out and 11.5 miles back, dressed up holding British flag and waving the parade wave with two little electronic dogs on leashes. All part of the hilarity that can be a 1/2 marathon, especially when put on by the Hash House Harriers, who bill themselves as drinkers with a running problem.

  • Comments: For the coast, this is a great race. Liked the Chili and Pasta that they had for after the race. Lots of aid stations BUT, I would have liked to seen more of them having Electrolytes. Well done.

  • Comments: I really liked this race and would come back. The course was beautiful as advertised. The rainbow before the race and the rain stopping for the race didn't hurt the days events! The course was rolling hills which made it interesting. The port-o-pots and aid stations were plentiful with great volunteers. The traffic control was pretty good with someone at each intersection. The locals that came out were great including the British couple telling me I was 2.2 km to the finish. There was beer at one aid station which is fabulous but could have been a little closer to the finish. The beer garden at the end was serving good beer! I would highly recommend this 1/2 marathon. http://www.flickr.com/photos/wyndswept/3265199403/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/wyndswept/3266022806/

  • Comments: This is my third half marathon and the best so far by 13min, I dont know why it could be that I trained better, or that I used my new 2XU compression thight or that have a little more experience but I really loved it.
