Look for the Team TRIumph tent if your doing the race and say hi! We usually have a good turnout and post race party as this is the kick-off race for our club.

Do people usually wear wetsuits at Parvin?  Anyone have an idea what the water temperature is?

Not sure of the water temp but I'd guess in the mid 70's. It's a mix on people wearing wetsuits but it's always been wetsuit legal so if you've got one I'd wear it. I'll be wearing my sleeveless. Good luck if your racing and stop over at the Team TRIumph team for some post race fun!

FYI -- Just received this email notification that Parvin Tri Swim portion is cancelled tomorrow... I don't wanna do a duathlon so I'm going to see if I can cancel my registration and get a refund.

Alert!!
The swim portition of the triathlon has been changed
to a 2 mile run
due to poor water quality and safety of the participants
it will still count towards USAT triathlon points

You may pickup your packet on Friday 4-8 pm at

Have been suffering from osteo pubis and wanted to ease back into running so I signed up for the tri in order to not have to do 2 runs-oh well....hopefully I'll be able to do 2 runs....

Was a little disappointed the swim was canceled but glad the directors made the call and didn't let us swim and get sick.  Would like to do Parvin next year.  Are there usually water issues with Parvin?

Someone told me Parvin swim has been cancelled before...not sure if that's true though. I deferred until next year so hopefully will not be an issue then.
