Subject: STOLEN - Cervelo P2C
Folks -

My bike was stolen this morning in San Diego (Point Loma area).  If anyone happens to see it or hear of it, please let me know.  I have filed a police report and will continue to monitor craigslist and the like - if you see it there, please let me know.  PM me.

Black/gray Cervelo P2C
Distinguishing characteristics - labels on the bars - "Molon Labe" (Greek for "come and get it" - oh, the irony!) and "With It or On It" - and a black metal memorial bracelet with a Marine's rank and name on it.  Other than that, it's pretty stock.  The shop stickers on the fork in the picture have been removed, so don't look for them.

Thanks for any and all help.

Keep checking on Craig's list every day.  We had a dirtbike stolen and they sold it on Craig's list.  I found the ad too late and we couldn't do anything by that time.

Dude that sucks.
I am sorry.

I had a roadie stolen when I was in college.

I am almost at the one year anniversary of my house's burglary - where I lost my Cannondale, a 9mm, and tens of thousands of $$$ of my wife's heirloom jewelry. (I was insured when I was single, we never re-evaluated when we got married... I learned a lot about insuring jewelry the wrong way.)

To anyone else out there.... consider getting a dremel engraver.

Doesn't help carbon fiber, but you can initial all of your metallic components.

I use the engraver then fill-in with a high -vis paint.

The best under $50 investment you can make is the engraver and memory card that has pics and scans of your merchandise and reciepts.

Make this a priority before it is too late.

There is a 61cm posted on Phoenix craigslist.  Picture looks similar, but then again many Cervelos look alike.

I compared the pic of the one on Phoenix craigslist and the stolen bike, and the stolen one is definitely smaller than a 61, so I'm saying it ain't the same bike.

Also the rear cages are different, unlikely a thief would take the time to change them...
