Then get the foam roller - do the calves, then the quads and hammies, the the hips and glutes. All the way up. Slowly. On both legs. This will take a while. Even if it is not PF it will be good for you. 
 What kind of shoes do you wear? Work and around the house? Like - flip flops, barefoot, and for Billy, 6 inch heels?
   I do a roller on my IT bands, and use "the Stick" on my calves, Quads, Hammies.  I'll start in with the tennis ball.  I typcally am either barefoot or in just socks around the house.  Dress shoes at work.  Old running shoes around town.  Started a new pair of running shoes last week - they only have 50 -60 miles on them.  They are the same model I wore previously with no problems (Adidas Supernova Glide 3).  I'm pretty bummed about this.  PF sounds like a nightmare. |
