Subject: RE: Winter Crummy Weather Challenge Nov 18 -24 WEEK 3Hey! Look what I found. I don't know how y'all record weather, but I usually don't think about it until I have to record my suckocity score. This web site has records for local weather stations.

http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/index.asp

Type in your zip code at the top. It shows a map with current conditions and forcasts. Below the map, click on "personal weather stations" (or just scroll down the page ). Then it brings up a list of local weather stations. (I suspect there may be a lot or a few depending on where you live. If you click on one of these, you can select a day, and it brings up weather history for that station.

It's really cool if you're like me and you just step outside in the morning in your underwear and say, "Yep! Snow mixed with hail with icicles off the house... guess I'll wear a sweatshirt on my run..." and want an accurate record later on.

I don't know much about personal weather stations, but I suspect some may be more accurate than others, though I suspect airports are fairly accurate. |
