We've had some frantic scrambles when the fairy forgot!! lol...I used to walk about 10 houses down to Mrs. Miskells house and, standing on her front porch, she would pull out the loose tooth for me. I have no idea why I always went to her, looking back on it. But I guess it was better than waiting for it to fall out, pulling it out myself, or having *gasp* my mom do it! |

Our kids got a silver dollar for the first and half-dollar coins for the rest. I think they've all saved most of these coins as they were more "special" than everyday money. |

I kind of can't believe my daughter hasn't knocked one out of her head yet, tho. When I was a kid my dad would tie a string to the door and to our tooth and then slam the door. Finally, we'd get so nervous while he was tying the string that he would tie a slip knot on the string, slip it around the tooth and just yank when we least expected it. |
