Best College Game Ever??

It was mentioned in the other thread, but I'll concur here.  I'd say it's real close between a few of those games you mentioned.  I've always loved the BC hail mary personally (but that's mostly because I can't stand Miami), but this has got to be close.  If nothing else I think it has one of the best stories behind it in quite some time.  And certainly more hype than most.  I think I liked it because it's been the first game in several years where the undisputed #1 & 2 got to go head to head.  It was nice to actually have the game hyped (although I think the hype was a bit unbalanced) rather than listening to the sportscasters go on and on about who the "real" #2 may or may not be.

I don't think (correction: I hope against hope) that Vince doesn't come out.  But if he does, I don't see Houston taking him.  Carr is fine, he just needs more than the time it takes for the DE to blow past their crappy tackles and flatten him to throw the ball.  They need Reggie, or they need to trade down, pick up a solid role player (or two) and a low first round pick in the exchange.

I hope Vince is smart enough to know that scrambling in college is a LOT different than scrambling in the pro's (just ask Mikey Vick).  It's like playing against the very biggest and best LBs that you took on in college... every Sunday.  Sure, you break a big one every once in a while.  But for every one of those they'll be ten others where you get crushed from behind by an angry lineman.

Not to mention the DB's.  In the NFL, he won't have receivers running as wide open as he is used to seeing and the DB's closing speed will make him pay for some of those floaters he throws.  But the guy is still an incredible athlete and such a gamer.

Which is exactly why I hope he hangs around another year and improves his passing a bit more.  I think if he comes out now he'll end up going the route of a Randle El or Kordell Stewart.  (That and I want to see a second Nat'l Championship in a row)
