Subject: Ironman Korea Cancelled!!!

I cannot believe it! What a huge disapointmnet. I live at the venue and get to do it for free. Now i have to change my whole training plan... but on the positive side, i have never been to Japan. I just wanted to vent my annoyance at such a big slap in the face as an IM cancellation. I mean who cancells an IM?

Wow, bummer. tere was hardly any mention on it on the ironman website, either.

I know, it was a very sad lost for Triathlon in ASIA. Jeju was such an awsome place for a race, the bike course the nicest I´ve done, and the heat is just beyond my words. The only problem about IMK was the price for bananas I had to buy the days before the race!! I would say they lost they major sponsor, Standard Chartered Bank, but i´m not sure about the true reason for it.

Well, we have IMChina now at least, racing there should be a good experience too.

talk about pain.

canx'd the event on race day as the winds were too strong for the swim. they wittled it down to a half IM distance bike and run. many of us just packed and left.

IM corp did open up the US IM events for Yankees who had gone there, at no cost. I took IM LP 06, so though it was a major disappointment and enormous cost from all aspects, IM corp tried to make good.
