Subject: Back after a 12 year gap I stopped training in 1992 -- life got in the way and I got lazy. This fall I weighed 219 up from the 165 in '92 when I was 32 years old. So I signed up for a local "Ultimate Body Challenge" course -- 10 weeks of kickboxing and band/strength training and have been re energised.
I droped 15 pounds and 3 percent body fat, and my very humble mile time of 10:02 in September has dropped to 7:50 on Saturday. Not awesome, but I'm proud enough of the progress to set my sights on a Sprint in June and an Olympic in August (concidentally, my 45th birthday ).
Anyway, hey all, great site ... I like being able to state my goal publically and keep my focus.
