Subject: Free Look Pedals
Alright, this is going to sound strange since this is my first post on BT. I am a long time lurker here, but have never signed up because I already waste too much time at work on Slowtwitch. It seems to me that there are a lot more new triathletes on this site than over at ST and that more people here may be able to benefit from an offer that I gave to the members of ST.

In response to a "begging thread" that was posted over on ST, I decided to give someone a nearly new set of red 2007 Look Sprint pedals that my wife rode a couple of times and then switched out for some Speedplays. I could sell these on ebay or Craigslist or in the classified sections of any number of cycling or triathlon sites, but I don't need the money and I know there are people out there that would like to have the gadgets for this sport, but just can't afford it all given the costs of new bikes, helmets, entry fees, etc.

Again, I am wary about the fact that this is my first post here, but I really want to give these to someone that will use the hell out of them and could really use some pedals at no cost. If you could use these, please PM or email me.

Just trying to make the world a better place, one set of pedals at a time,

Jeff

Ugh! Meant to put this in the Pay it Forward section, but am still getting used to the "reply" and "new thread" buttons on this forum. Since I don't want this posted three times (triathlon talk, here, and the pay it forward thread), I am going to stop while I am already behind. Anyway, offer stands. Let me know. Thanks.

Can I post the same story over here that I posted on ST? Just goofing around, I'd love them but there are many other that could use them also.

How do you like the Pilot? I bought my first road bike not quit six months ago. It was a left over 2006 Pilot 1.0 and I've put over 800 miles on it in a little less than 6 months.

Free pedals is an awesome deal.  I am piecing together a tri-bike + equipment for my wife behind her back...shhh don't tell her.  She's serious about tri'ing as am I so I want her to have decent stuff.  So far I have various clothing articles tri shorts, tops etc, swim gear, running shoes, old garmin gps, new helmet, newish shoes, tool kit & bag.  I've been searching different bike stores for closeout models of bikes and have narrowed it down to a few.  I should be picking it out early next week.  There are a few things that I'm still searching for one of which is pedals.  My wife is awesome so I want her to have a good bike to ride so i'd love to take advantage of your free pedals.  Thanks, Chris

I like it well enough. Other than some minor shifting issues... and those damn strap pedals LOL!

What a newbie J/K, welcome!!! And yes, there are way more BT here than ST. And not so much screwing around too unless you are in COJ.

I have received numerous PM's and emails and gave away the pedals this morning. Thank you to all that responded and I hope to have more stuff to pass on soon.
