Anyone else in New England doing any winter running races? I'd like to keep up my running fitness throughout the next several months by running in the occasional race (every 2nd or 3rd week or so perhaps) in addition to my regular running training. Mostly I do treadmill work, but get out for a road run perhaps once a week. If you've got any races on your calendar between now and March, posting them to the site here would keep us all informed as to what might be doable. I know there are a few of us running in the Hyannis 1/2 marathon on Feb. 27th. Put yours on the calendar, or maybe even as a post in the Group Training section. Maybe meeting a few times with other local BT-ers at races will help keep the enthusiasm level up over the tough winter months!

Max, there is a half marathon in New Bedford in March that is a real good race.  For some reason I can't find a link, but I am 99.9% sure that it is still out there.

Thanks everyone. I also found this 16-miler in Derry NH on January 23rd. 600 field limit and they say it always fills up, so pre-registration is advised. I dunno yet, I'll decide in the next week or so: http://www.coolrunning.com/major/05/bostonprep/

Joe, does this have a field limit and do you think it's already filled up? I'll do a search on it and see if there's a possibility to enter.

Hey max. Great idea! I would also like to do a 'regional' BT tri event in 2005 for us New Englanders. Hyannis 1/2 should also be a great BT day, (with dresses, eek. I don;t know)

Personally, I am cooling it on races until Hyannis. Body needs to be refilled. But I am up to being a cheering squad and wouldn't mind a weekend off just for that.
