Subject: Good Running Shoe Store in San Antonio
Hello folks,

Me and the family are headed to SA this weekend and I was wondering if anyone had any good suggestion for a "runners" running shoe store there. I don't want to head to some mall or giganto sports store and be helped by someone who doesn't know jack about running. I have some issues going on with my feet and I think I need to get someone to look over my stride and match up some shoes for me. Any help would be much appreciated.

I buy my shoes at RunGearRun at Hwy 1604 & Stone Oak Blvd on the north central part of town.  http://www.rungearrun.com/ .

I usually know exactly what I want so my shoe purchases take about 3 minutes, but I assume all of the salespeople are fairly knowledgeable.

I don't believe that RGR does stride videos (I'm not sure that anyone in town does), but they do look at your feet on the treadmill.  FWIW, I saw that one of SA's top female marathoners buys her shoes there too.

Fleet Feet is a nice store and the staff is very knowledgable and helpful.

Went to RGR and got a pair of Saucony's with motion control. They seem to be doing well...I am not hurting AS badly. Thanks for all of your inputs.
