I'm cheering for Michael Strahan.  Not the Giants.  Or the Patriots.  Just Michael Strahan.  I don't really have any good reason for that.  I don't like the Patriots or Eli Manning, so if I cheer for just Strahan, I don't have to cheer for either party I just mentioned .

I have a friend heading out to Vegas next weekend.  Hmmm, yesterday the money line for the Giants was at 400, time to pull out that C-note from the dresser drawer, you never know!

I hope there's no visible shrinkage if Tom Petty happens to have a wardrobe malfunction.

LOL!

I'm looking forward to a Paula Abdul mental meltdown! Wink

I do not hate football. Watching a good game can be fun.  But most superbowl games are not very interesting.

I am just glad as hell I don't have a husband who is a "sports watcher".  Trust me, I recently expressed this gratitude to him very personally.

But, I still do not know who is playing in the superbowl.......

You need a good reason for that?

I do think this could be a good game regardless of both teams records.   And I agree with whoever said that the G-Men's defensive line got more pressure on Brady than any other team.  To me, that's the key for beating the Patriots.

And Adollar79, the only appropriate system for determining which team is the best is a playoff.  Anything other than that places less importance on what teams actually do on game day.

Yes, this is my attempt at stirring the pot a little bit

You have to note that the Patriots had two starting offensive linemen out for that game. The whole O-line will be intact come SuperBowl.

So if Dallas and New England were both 16-0 would you still insist that a playoff was necessary in determining the best two teams?  If both were beat and the Super Bowl was played between a 10-6 v 8-8 team, would you argue the winner is the league's best team?

I gladly stir back!

People have had "keys" all season to beating the Patriots. Now they need to find that darn lock...is it this one? No?  This one?  No...... Hmmm.  I thought we had the "key" to beating the Patriots.  Doh!

I had forgotten about that!  Now I wonder how much of a factor Manning's improvement might be.  I think the jury's still out on whether or not he's really become a better QB or if he's just playing better for now.

For what it's worth - I'm pulling for the Patriots.

Oh man have we gotta have beers sometime!!!  Great point and that certainly wouldn't be ideal, but I just don't like the concept of anyone but the players and teams determining who is the champion.  The one thing about the BCS that I do like however is that it provides for great conversation.

So? Do we get to hear more about this very personal expression of gratitude?
