Coming May 10th.... They usually have a 10k, 1/2 mary, 50k, and 50 miler up at Cougar Mtn. I did this run last year (the 1/2 marathon) and it is a tough course with LOTS of HILLS... Not much flat on the course anywhere, but a great challenge...

I normally a 1.45-1.50 1/2 marathon, and it took me almost 3hrs..... Felt like 2 weeks though

I heard some other runners talking about this at a trail run this fall....they were saying it was REALLY HARD AND HILLY!  I will think about, yes I will.  Also check out nwtrailruns.com for some great events.  I will be doing lots of those this season, they are awesome!

As I live in Bellingham, I signed up early (once first annouced) and thought it'd be tough but still just a half mary. man o man was I wrong, tons of hill, some of the upper section was not really on a regular trail, but something brand new they put together for this event, almost striaght up with not a lot of switchbacks, just high leg lunges

All that being said, I had a good time, weather was great (no rain) and I enjoyed myself.

My first 5k was 36 minutes, second 5k 41 minutes and just got slower after that.
