About 4 months ago, I posted telling BT I would break 2 min for a 200 freestyle this year.

Today I was 2:01.6, untapered during a workout time trial. It's going to be close!!

Kick azz!  For us slow guys, when we were able to do that in a 100 it was a good thing.  In a 200 that is just smokin'!!

(How's the bike and run looking though ... ....)

The only way I ever could swim that fast would be to swim down Niagra Falls!

Good Job.

That time seems unfathomable to me. If I really bust my hump, I might come up with a 1:20 over 100yds. But I am bascally spent.

Great job! I hope you make your goal! Thats truly incredible to me.

Thanks everyone for the support!

I was wearing the new speedo fastskin pro, but shaving will help too!

I could have gotten another second out of the last 50 too (splits were 28.5, 30.5, 30.5, 32.0).

And for all of you who are saying/complaining they go 1:20 for a 100m... try doing a light warm up and sprinting a 100m (or 200m), and get down to 1:18, then do it again!

The 200 has to be the hardest race to learn how to swim. It's really hard to get yourself to back off a hair for the first 50 to put in in reserve for the last 50. I'm sticking with my prediction though, you are going to kick some !!!!!

Golly, when I first read this I thought it was a 100 swim. Swimming a 200, by gosh by golly, you will have a heck of a wake behind you. Good Luck and Kick Azz.

Greg, it's been great to watch your recovery this year and your return to swimming, and no doubt you're going to blast that barrier. I stand in awe.
