I've been looking for some online maps of good bike trails/routes in New Jersey starting from the GW bridge and into the pallisades. Anyone have any good links?

thanks!

The MS ride in October uses that route. I don't think I have a route map from when I did that ride a few eyars ago, but you might find one. Also, from the club I'm peripherially connected with in NYC, there is a big Sunday AM ride out of GW bridge wihch is somewhat regular. Not sure who runs that.

You can ride the Southern sidewalk of the GW.

9W route description on GORP...

this is great. I was wondering about accessing bear mountain from there. I've only gone up the other side (through westchester and putnam ctys on the south/north county trail), which puts you a lot further east.

^^^^^ that link just about covers it. No need to devaite from 9w. I cut this from the link:

To get to Nyack, continue up 9W north into Sparkill. The road bears right into town and if you take a right on Piermont Road at the first intersection, you'll find the best bike route into Nyack.

The Bike Route signs are ver easy to follow.

Both Piermont and Nyack offer many options to refuel before heading back to the GW.

try this one. I roughly use this site to map out most of my rides. 9w is great leading up to peirmont and nyack. Most weekend I'm on that stretch of road starting from Alpine which is only about 15 minutes away from home base.
