Subject: Hed Jet 60 or Hed 3 Clinchers BT'ers-
I'm in the process of a bike build, and I'm pretty much down to the wheelset. As of now, I'm looking to spend around $1200 on the wheels. I've narrowed it down to the Hed Jet 60 EXs or the Hed 3s, both clinchers (I've messed w/ tubulars in the past, and just never found it was worth the money and hassles for the type of racing/workouts I do ). I'm a bigger guy (200 ), so I want to make sure the set I end up with is tough. I'd also like to use the set more than just for pure racing. That being said, any opinions on which set to go with? The Hed 3s will add about 125 grams to the overall ride, but will the aerodynamics of the wheelset offset the marginal weight gain? I've never ridden full tri-spokes before, so don't know much about their ride characteristics (have ridden deep aeros before, so somewhat biased towards them ). Any suggestions? Thanks! |
