Subject: Forefoot Running Linked to Achilles Tendinitis?
I was speaking with a podiatrist, the end result of the conversation was this: Midfoot running=good, heel-to-toe running not so unless you are a person that is unaffected by impact or jarring to your body and lastly forefoot=bad.

They said they would look into it some more, but they believe that forefoot running would cause your Achilles tendon to 'shrink' over time, because you are not stretching it when you run and could cause Achilles tendinitis.

My question is for those of you that have experienced AT, what technique do you run with?

Your Achilles is being stretched every time you land on your forefoot.  In fact, that's the point of forefoot running.  You're using the elastic energy of soft tissue to provide some rebound effect.  That can certainly cause Achilles problems if don't ease into it, but that pretty much goes for anything.
