My friends and I are looking for a medium priced spa/resort in or near Tempe. Any suggestions? We want to pamper ourselves after the SheROX Tri in May. Thanks.

Nice try Chile!

I've stayed at a few of the Hilton resorts around the valley. The Hilton Scottsdale suites (about 10 miles from Tempe) and Pointe Hilton (about 15 miles from Tempe) are really nice. In summer the rates drop so that locals (like me) can stay for cheap! I'm not sure what the rates are in May. The Arizona Biltmore is also really nice, but pricey. I think it is a Hilton hotel also. www.hilton.com

There should be lots of resorts to choose from, the valley is famous for them. Check out www.visitphoenix.com for the website of the Phoenix area visitors bureau.

The Valley Ho in Old Town Scottsdale is pretty cool. Lots of restaurants and shopping in the area and its only 5 miles from Tempe Town Lake.
Dont let the term old town fool you.

They get bonus points for being the valley HO.

I just read about the Valley HO in Shape magazine! Its supposedly the new "hip" place to be!

Sally is right places should be CHEAPOLA come summertime. Not sure when SheROX is but you can stay at the 4 Seasons for like 150 a night at some points in the summer (normally like 600 bux!)

The Pointe Hilton is nearby and is pretty nice, they have a fun waterpark too! I've stayed in one of their suites for 150 and it came with resort money and free entrance to the waterpark. I liked their spa. Its not UBER fancy but decent.

Other places that are considered REALLY nice will be further north in Scotts.

But HEY is SheROX at Tempe Beach Park (I am thinking this is the Tri that Red Rock is putting on right?) Tempe Mission Palms is right there...that 'seems' nice and OH SO CLOSE to transition!
