Comments:

It was flippin' freezing waiting at the start. But about 15 min in, my hands thawed out nicely. I was running with a friend, and this was her first race. So my goal was not to run fast, but keep her at about a 10 min mile (she wanted to finish in under 43 minutes).
What would you do differently?:

Nothing, this was a great introductory race for my friend and it was a lot of fun!

Due to the weather being a little crummy this week in the northeast, it ended up not being a timed race, but that's ok. It was still a great race, didn't need a lot of post race activities--they had bagels and apples afterwards and that was just fine.
