Alan, I have not seen the dates for Sweetwater yet either.

How's training going?

I would echo the comments on tri-ptc: Great beginner's race: crazy-flat bike and run, dirty, dirty swim, but hey, if you get mud in your eye, all you have to do is stand up and clean out your goggles - it was like 4 feet deep most of the race course!!

Event was done very well.

See you all there if my first 1/2 IM doesn't kill me in July,

JG

Training is good back on track -- now concentrate on running endurance. Doing speed sets for swimming to build up base. Doing lotsa running and weight training .....

And you all thought this thread was dead.......

I am out.   I just got the schedule for another association that I am the President of and they moved their trip schedule up two weeks!!  That moved it from September right onto the P'tree City Tri weekend!  I am kinda upset but halfway expected the change.

Everyone enjoy the race and I look forward to hearing about it later.

Alan

I am in! (Late, but in!)
After nursing this stupid knee for a year, my Dr. finally gave me approval to race.

I understand the PTC Tri club does at least a swim, if not the entire race course, on Wednesdays. If I get more info, is anyone interested in doing this maybe 2-3 weeks prior to the race?

Can't wait to see you all!

Tony

Okay, we're a month out.  Anyone want to go in on plans for a BT party after the race?

I'm in. Picnic? Cold beverages? Swimming after the race? I don't care.

Hey Karl, sounds like they will have food and such but we can always bring our own too.

Anyone up for a mock tri? The PTC Tri club meets on Wednesdays at 6:30pm and welcomes all who are racing at no charge. I might go a couple of weeks before the race.

Tony, that sounds great.  Lets keep in touch as the race approaches.

Regarding the afterparty, I was thinking about a Keg, or a mini-keg, or a cooler full of brewskies for us to crack open once we've finished the race.  I don't know if the park will allow alcohol beverages, but its easier to ask forgiveness that it is permission.

atree - 2004-12-16 12:47 PM My real goal is a HIM towards the end of October. Alan

Not to get of fthe subject of the PTC tri, but which 1/2 IM are you thinking about doing??  If you haven't decided, you should do the Miami 1/2 IM- it's November 13th.  There's some of us BT'ers doing that one.

Anyone in for a mock tri this Wednesday with the PTC tri club? If so, see you at 6:30pm!

Tony
