Subject: A neat fundraiser for the Holiday Season
My wife is a teacher and every year all the schools that feed into this high school do a fundraiser. It’s called empty bowls. All of the Elementary, Middle, and the High school kids make ceramic bowls during art class or after school. Then a few weeks before Christmas (tonight), they have a big soup dinner. The whole community was invited.
A lot of people volunteered to make soup for the event. Then everyone goes through the line and picks out their soup bowl, pays $5 and gets all the soup you can handle. They had the choirs and orchestras performing holiday music. It was really a neat event. Just thought I would pass this on. It was a really fun evening.

And a huge plus was they were donating all the $$ to the local food bank.

that's a great idea.  Give loads of credit to teachers - they are under-rated - Question is:  did the students learn something from this??
