Subject: bike tires - article & which tire ?
http://www.torelli.com/tech/tires.shtml

Came across this article on tires and thought I'd post it. Just got a new bike and was wondering
would a tire upgrade be worth it for someone like me who's not a racer. Would I see that much
of a difference in quality and/or speed ?

Tires on bike are Bontrager Select. After reading reviews it looks like these aren't that great but as I said above, maybe I wouldn't notice that big of a difference. I did put some new, low-cost Forte tires on a borrowed Raleigh Technium last year, replacing dry-rotted tires that must have been 5-10 yrs old at least. That bike rode A LOT nicer and seemed a litle faster.

Just wanted some thoughts/input.

Have a great day.

If the tyres on the bike are new, go ahead and use them till they wear out, which should be a few thousand miles (:  I've got the same set on my commuter bike, and their quite comfortable.  As are the slicks on my road & tt bikes.  I have noticed some
differance on the higher end ones, but not much.  Then again I'm not Lance.
