Subject: Vilano Bikes

Anyone have any experience dealing with them? I am looking for a budget-cost bike to get me through the next few months to prove to myself that the Cervelo I lust after is going to be well used.

I found this Vilano Shadow (http://www.vilanobikes.com/roadbikes.html) and it looks like it has mid-range (some low) components, and a decent road geometry. I could toss a pair of aerobars on it to compete.

Am I making a huge mistake going this route (manufacture, not the process itself, I know most would go straight to the Cervelo )?

Thanks!

Those are department-store grade components, and will give you nothing but trouble.
