Ever since I first heard about triathlon. I wanted to do one. Now some 20 years later I decided to get out of my chair and do one. Well two actually. I signed up for the Lifetime fitness and the Northwoods Triathlon in Minnesota. Living in a remote part of Minnesota I would find it difficult to join a club. I hope this forum will help to drive me in my training.
I'm only four weeks into the training, and already feeling the benefit.
One quick question I have a recumbent exercise bike at home and ride a regular bike at my health club. It feels like they each exercise different leg muscles, is this true?

Congrats on your progress so far and good luck in the future. Never been on a recumbent so can't help you there, sorry. Have fun.

I bought a bike trainer that I put my racing bike on... that way I am training the same muscles that I use in the race and I am in the comfort of my own home. Trainers can be purchased on-line for as little as $100. Good luck!
