Subject: swimming goggles and black eyes?

Is there anyone out there getting black eyes from swimming goggles?  My sleep patterns have been the same, and nothing else has changed except that I am swimming A LOT more frequently.  And NO MY GOGGLES AREN'T TO TIGHT  They are just tight enough to keep water out (most of the time) Is it the goggles? I have some pretty pink speedos, sorry, I can't remember the style.  What else could it be?  Help me keep from looking like a racoon.

When you pull them off, are you yanking them off, or gently pulling them off? Of course the yank style will cause that. Allergies can cause shiners too - do you have any allergies?Other than that, it could just be the pressure of the goggles - or stress of school?

What do you mean black eyes? Like bruised, like as if someone hit you? Or is this some kind of female description/terminology of something that happens to eyes that I'm (a guy) not aware of?

Slow down as you come to the end of the pool.

Actually, you should try the Aqua Seal Swim goggles, they have a larger area of contact around the face, so they're not sucking your eyeballs out like some of those other goggles do.  I switched a few months ago and love em.  Plus, you have full peripheral vision in these where you can only see straight ahead with most of those smaller racing goggles.

The seal mask is a good idea - I have one also and like it, especially for open water swims. They are nice and the mark it makes on my forehead matches up with my *natural lines*
