Can someone please recommend a shop (and employee if possible) that does a great job in tri bike fitting? I know of Gear West but would appreciate any other recommendations.

I live in Prior Lake.

Thank you

I'm looking for a tri bike fitting as well and have been referred to GW.

Problem is, it's 40 miles away so I'm looking for something a bit nearer the white bear lake area. I'm going to talk to the folks at NOW Sports as I've heard they have an expert fitter with many yrs experience.

Once I talk to NOW, I'll toss a coin and get 'er done.

There is supposed to be a F.I.S.T certified fitter at Penn Cycle but I have called 3 locations and they have never heard of the guy.

Someone mentioned to go to see Jay at Hollywood Cycle in Bloomington. I am going to give him a call.

I think the FIST Certified guy was at Erik's. We did a thread on this a little while ago, and I listed the cost of a few places. Oh yeah I also found out that County Cycle now has a Power Tap wheel that they will put on your bike, and fit you for max power. I was thinking of doing this, and see if they can dial me in.

Thanks Lance. I think the FIST Certified guy referenced in that thread is Larry Crawford (the same guy I have been trying to track down at Penn). In that thread, he is supposed to be at Penn Cycle as well. I can't seem to track him down though.

I had my first biked fitted at Gear West a few years ago and I honestly did not feel like I got my money's worth. I paid $75 and literally I was there 15 minutes. I know other people have had great experiences there, so I am not saying they are a bad shop, maybe I just had the wrong person.

I will check out County Cycle. Thanks for the reference.

I believe MNDiver has been, or will be going through that process.

I just got fitted yesterday from Jay at Hollywood Cycles in Bloomington. I would highly recommend him. He is the owner of the shop with lots of experience fitting people. He spent about an hour with me tweaking a bunch of different things. He charged me $75 which I thought was very fair for the amount of detail he put into the fitting process. He also allows you to come back in the first year for any adjustments. Super nice guy.

Thanks,

Andy
