Subject: Best ear phones to use on the threadmill..

So the time of the year has come,  snow slush and all the cold stuff.  And I need to retreat to the indoor threadmill. (PLEASE DON'T TRY AND CONVINCE ME TO RUN OUTSIDE!! I REALLY CAN'T!!! ; p)

And I need to use some music to get over the bordom of 1hr+ runs.  Need a new pair of earphones.  Suggestions anyone?

Thanks.

I too went through copious amounts of earphones.  About a year ago, I found some hard plastic ones from Sony (either from Target or Acadamy Sporting Authority, I can't remember).  They cost 16 dollars, wrap around the ear and don't damage if they are constantly wet.  At least these ones don't and they are still going (I'm talking about drenched at least7 hours a week.  They're blue and are kind of an ear bud hybrid - the bud  doesn't penetrate the ear much, yet fits snugly.  I highly recommend them.

Another vote for the cheap-o Sony's that they sell at Target. I think they are gray. I've had mine for over a year and haven't needed new ones yet. Sometimes after a long workout when I get all sweaty they tend to slip out of my ear a little bit. But other than that- very decent headphones. And I use them for every exercise except swimming.

Mine came with my cheapie RCA MP3, but I love them because they cant fall off and they dont hurt! They look like the regular old foam ones, but have a plastic hook that curves around the back of your ear instead of the traditional metal headband. I have tried the small ones that you just fit into your ear, but they never fit right or they hurt after a half hour.

I'm not sure if this is what Thomas is describing, but these Sony headpnones work well for me. Lightweight, comfortable, and cheap ($10 at Walmart).

I have the same kind as Lolo...these seem to work better than the earbuds for me and they last a long time...(at least a year now).

I gotta listen to MP3's because I can't hear my beautiful music over the snapping, crackling, and popping coming out of my joints!
