Subject: Tri Clubs in the NoVA Area

Does anyone have any recommendations for clubs near the Sterling / Reston / Dulles / Fairfax area?

I am looking for my next level of motivation, and I think being part of a club or group would be a start.

There are several BTers in your neck of the woods - Shelly123, Z, Bikeinthemud, jlough, Newleaf, 3558, ejc999, rollinsw, et al. Shelly123 is kind of the ring leader of the not-so-formal VAMDDCBT Tri Club. We can keep you posted of planned group workouts.

Unofficial or official, either works for me I just want to see people I know when I line up for a race.

I have been recruiting a few other trinewbs who are training with me, so I might even be able to bring three or four people to events.

Is there anything planned for the Warm-up Tri this weekend in Manassas as an unofficial BT meetup?

I was thinking the same thing about local groups in this area! I'm new and out of shape, and a friendly BT face would be great. Thanks for bringing it up!

I'll be at the warm up tri in Manassas this weekend: you'll see me struggling in the pool......
