do I understand correctly that you plan on leaving the Wack at 6am?

Then drive to Oliver and start riding at 9 - 10am?

Then ride for 90km?

Then drive home?

I've got that right, don't I?

Okay, I was staying quiet becasue there was a small possibility of having to go to Trail for work. That is now dead!  So I am in.  6 AM for Chilliwack?!?!? WTH???? Dan you are buying the first round at Tim's for that! I have room for 3 and 3 bikes.

Jeni check your Inbox, I'll send you my number and we can see if something will work for a carpool. I don't mind getting up a bit earlier to pick you up. Cash, grass or coffee, we'll work something out! Can't wait, I'm really looking forward to this.

DrLeah - 2008-04-01 3:23 PM Now this is sounding better!  Let's meet at Dan's at 6 then - I'll get myself there, you westerly people get yourselves there and then we can convoy to Osoyoos and warm up with a Timmies before, after & maybe even during the ride.  Weather is supposed to be good, last time I checked the forecast.

How many of us are there??

I'll have to provide the beer and sleep with Chris on Friday night in exchange for the ride, but we'll be there.

Looking forward to it!

I don't know you so maybe shouldn't mock you, but this can be taken so many ways...although really, most of them aren't mocking you but rather mocking Chris.

And we all know that's okay!

How long did everybody want to ride?

This is my long day, Ronin and I are planning on riding the Richter pass, up to yellow lake and back down to osoyoos thru ok falls and down 97 back. Roughly 130k.

sounds good to me - I'd love to get a look at the Pass.  Just as long as there's no snow!!  If Ronin is going for sure, then I'll arrange with Chris to meet him somewhere, and I'll catch a ride in the Hearse, since he says it will take 3 bikes.  Then we can make a Haz-sandwich

LUCKY DOG!

Well, Ronin is for sure coming he is actually licking his chops at the chance to ride this.

I am scared now.

I'm never on BT anymore. Why didn't someone email me. Or send me a message on facebook?

I'll probably come if there is any room in a car. The Passat still doesn't have roof racks and I'm not driving the VW Van.

I'm doing a really large group ride the next day too. I'll probably do the 100km route:

Yeah, I can see why you should feel nervous! Here's an excerpt from you're logs this week!

And Connie called me "crazy legs" and made me pull the group.. blah! Hammered the last two hills with her on my wheel yelling at me to push.

Not to worry, going as a group, finish as a group. Unless you REALLY suck, then you should stick the Greyhound schedule in your back pocket!!! In case you don't know - this is the font used for sarcastic comments!

I just dropped another $600 on roof racks, hitches and stuff so I can carry all the crap up there...not including the cooler for the victory beers...but none for Crazypop...he's got an Ironman looming and needs to stay in top condition!! No Fireball for you Dan-o!!!!!

Hey Jeni - If that's the same Connie I think it is, she gave me cookies last Wednesday. Perhaps she is trying to make me slower.

Ah bummer Jen! That sucks, I'm sure we'll be going up again as IMC comes closer, we'll make sure to facebook you "Jen is: hitching a ride to Oliver this weekend!" I'm full up with hitch hikers already. Where have you been? Hope things are going well, I think we should get Leah to plan another get together for the 2008 pre-season...later!

I wish I could join you guys - it sounds like a GREAT day!  I don't think I can do a 90K+ ride yet though....I am not really experienced in 'group rides'.....

sure hope I can join in on the next one!

btw - 2 months ago (before starting this 'journey') I would have thought it was  ABSOLUTELY CRAZY for someone to drive SEVERAL HOURS to *then* go for a long bike ride!!!  I still think it is - but somehow it doesn't surprise me!

we really are a crazy bunch!

Jill

Yeah, that was after 4 rest days!  Maybe I should forget my run this evening and start resting up for Saturday's ride

But come Sunday I will be bragging that I rode part of the IMCA route with future Iron Men and Women up and over a mountain!
