Subject: ladies - another tri-top/bra question

I thought I had my solution - tri shorts and a nylon/lycra Champion brand running tank with enough support for my girls...  But this morning I tried it all in the pool and definitely noticed the top dragging in the water.

I thought, great, I'll just take advantage of the great TYR discount and get a tritop for under $30 and be done.  But it appears the choice is a "singlet" which has no builtin bra (right?), or a "tankini" which has a scoop neck and (presumably?) would have the same water drag problem?

Any thoughts? I'd to have the bra integrated and not have to shop for a great bra in addition to a great top -- can I win?

The specific tri-top tanks (as opposed to running tops or shimmels) are designed not to drag. I'm fairly well endowed and I can swim in tri tanks (but not other tanks).

Maybe other women could comment on integrated-bra tanks? I have a De Soto and a Zoot (both with scoop necks) and they're great in the water.

The TYR should be fine.

You can also check out the following websites--I've found shocking deals on all of them for tri stuff.

I wear D cup bra so finding supportive tri top was hard. Invest in a tri top that fits snugly that can support you or wear a wicking sports bra underneath. This is one purchase that really makes a difference.

I find two are good enough to wear without a sports bra under for me...

Oomph Wahini Tri Top and Desoto Carrera top which is long and stays in place I've worn in swimming and on a day on a cruise sight seeing, then swimming works great and I bought a second one as I love it so much. Desoto top is much longer and stays put well.

hmm.  I'm not a D (maybe immediately after the offspring was born and engorged with millk but that is sooo behind me).  I'm a B, probably.  Haven't replaced all the "I'm done with the pregnancy gig" clothes yet. But it sounds like a tri-specific tank top should support and not have drag... I'll ask TYR how generous their return policy is.

Thanks Yanti (and good race, all your supporters made me emotional reading their cheers for you!) for the suggestions of other shops.  Was thinking to check SierraTP as a catalog with HIND gear on the cover just came. And I have a sports basement nearby (and get extra 10% off) - but shopping with a 1 & 3 yo is challenging...

KathyG- I've heard, erh, read, a number of favorable comments on the desoto brand - I like that they are longer though my longer running tank has been riding up

I have a Zoot tri top and it works great in and out of the water, with a built in bra.
