Hello all,

I had set a goal to complete a triathlon this year and thought I'd search online for some training tips. This site is a wealth of information and a great resource! Wow. What a help. I figured I'd just keep running and biking and mix in some swimming, and now I have so many great tools and a better strategy. After reading over so much information the past few days, I just wanted to introduce myself and say hi to this great community.

I've set a personal goal to complete a Sprint before my 31st birthday in October, but I'm hoping to be ready by early summer. A Tri while I'm 30!

Hey, Steve, welcome to BT!!!  Your goal sounds more than achievable; hopefully you'll find the tools on this site to help you get there...the other part is plain ol' hard work.

Keep your eye on the Michigan forum for group workouts and races where we get together; we've got a pretty active Michigan crew that are a rolling riot, plus getting together with more experienced folks is one of the best ways to boost your learning curve on this nutty sport.  We're primarily southeast MI, but there's a crew over in Grand Haven, too.

Anyway, best of luck on your training, looking forward to seeing you progress against your goals!!

Welcome aboard. I just got here too, but the tools are great. Logging the work-outs has really helped motivation.

A sprint by the end of summer should be do-able!
