Hi all - who out there has used the full IM training plans from this site?

The cost seems pretty small for such a detailed plan. Does one plan work for everyone, or should I be looking around for something more customised to my needs (and if so how do I know what my needs are!)

Thanks

I've used the 1/2 IM to full IM bridge plan- it's the 12 week plan.  It worked great for me for my first IM and I'd definitely use it again.  I did a 1/2IM in May and then used the next 2 months to focus on the bike (since that was my weakness) and then picked up with the bridge plan for IM FL in '06.

I've also used a beginner 1/2 IM plan ( can't remember which one) for my first 1/2 IM in '05 and that one was good as well.

I used the Beginner Ironman plan from BT for my first in 2006.  I followed the plan the best I could, missing some run volume due to an injury.  I finished in 15 hours, which was about two hours off my goal of 13.  The weather on race day and my low run volume is what hurt me the most.

I'm currently using the Silver level "intermediate" 20-week schedule to train for IMWI in Sept 08.  I believe the volume will get me where I want to be barring any injuries.

I recommend the BT schedules.

Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback. The volumes look pretty do-able. Having looked around at other plans on the Internet, there is so much variation in volumes and structures. It seems that every coach has a different philosophy so how do I know what's appropriate for me?
