I am finally getting a tri bike since I am starting to get serious about the sport. I have a Cervelo P2-SL dura-ace picked out right now. Is this the best bang for buck? Any other models I should be be looking at or considering?

The P2 SL is a fantasitc bike for the price, just make sure it fits you correctly and you are comfortable on it. That is more important. Others I would consider at that price point - felt s22, kuota k- factor (a little more expensive, not as aggressive but carbon), QR Kilo. I am sure there are others I am missing....

The P2SL Ultegra at $200 (list) less is IMHO more "bang for buck," only upgrades you get on the DA model are the two derailleurs. Stick with the Ultegra and buy an aero helmet with the $200.

After a year of tri's on borrowed bikes and extensive research on sub $2K bikes I settled on a P2SL. Not many others offer the quality, package, and design/pedigree that P2 does. I love mine.

It helped that I got a smokin deal as well...

To be honest, I hate the yellow... =P

I'll look into the others mentioned and see if the local shop has em for me to try. I know they have QR, but not sure about Felt and Kuota. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

I am in the same boat. I am looking at the Felt S22 ($2000), the Jamis Trilogy ($2000), and the cervelo p2sl. I really like the Jamis, it is a very good deal and it is diffrent.

I have the Cervelo P2SL DuraAce.  Although the difference from DA to Ultegra derailleurs may be negligible, the yellow paint was not for me.

I did change out the saddle almost immediately for the Adamo Racing Saddle....but you may end up liking the stock saddle.

Post a pic if you get it!
