you get regularly every night? I sleep 6 hopurs with a bathroom break in the middle
I g=have a terrible addiction, 4-5 cans of diet coke every night. Caffeine makes me sleep hard and wake up in the midle of the night for a bathroom.
I guess, before putting an organized training plan, I should straighten up my sleep.

I typically get 6-7 hours and hit the bathroom 2-3 times every night...I drink a couple gallons (mostly water) a day.

I sleep anywhere from 4-6 hours a night.

I really have a tough time sleeping and will wakeup about once an hour every hour.
I am going to try to get everything done earlier so that I can go to bed just a little
earlier and get on track myself. Come Monday, masters swim class at 5:30am

Is there a way to eliminate these bathroom breaks? The days I am dehydrated I sleep better!

I sleep on average 6-7 hours a night. As far as bathroom breaks...I drink a gallon of water a day. When I first started drinking this much water I would have to get up several times a night, but know I can make it through the night!

I need 8-9 hrs a night. I'm ok with 7 once in awhile, and anything under 6 means I'm useless the next day. I usually feel sick the next day after a night of little sleep (below 6 hrs), and my short-term memory starts to flake out. That's one of the reasons why I've tried 24 hr mountain bike racing only once.

Not enough sleep. Around 5-6 hours a night and it hurts during the day. While I don't have bathroom problems or needs to go in the middle of the night, my energy during the day is lacking at times, mostly due to lack of quality sleep. But hey, that's what New Year Resolutions are for!

8-10 hours a night and I am a full-time grad student with four children ages 4, 6, 6, & 8. Yes, my house is always a wreck, but I desprately need my sleep. Call me crazy, but I don't know how the rest of you survive. I'm tired and cranky when I get less than 7. I'd be a zombie if I averaged 5-6 hours a night with a bathroom break in the middle of that.

I've been getting by with a little less ever since Santa put an X-box under the tree.

Speaking as a former grad student, and husband of a current grad student, how on earth can you get that much sleep each day??? I don't think I managed more than 6-7 in grad school, and that's w/o any kids!

I get about 6 hours of sleep a night, but wake up on the hour, sometimes to pee, sometimes to adjust my mind...I've had insomnia probably going on 10 years now...thought all this running, swimming, and biking would help, but not yet. I drink about a gallon of water each day and a couple of beers each night....

I usually get 5-7 hrs of sleep a night. I usually wake up 3 to 4 times a night, but do not have to get out of bed. I usually like to have a Gentleman Jack on the rocks about 2 hrs before bed time and it helps me sleep.

I generally get 6-7 hours on weekdays and about 9 on weekends with one or two bathroom breaks.  I could use more on the weekdays, but I'm a night owl of sorts and usually like  time to myself after kids are in bed and chores are done.  Long swims take a lot out of me and on those days I do try to get more sleep.

During work week, I sleep a minimum of 7 hours every night.  I do get up at least once in the night to throw the cat out when he starts being too noisy; I usually take a pee break at that time.  I will, however, sleep 12 hours Friday evenings and 10 hours Saturday evenings.

I sleep about 7 hours a night on average.
I also drink a gallon of water a day and never need to go to the bathroom during the night, thank goodness.
I am a very sound sleeper ...
I think once you organize your training plan it'll actually help you get your sleeping on track. Once I started working out in the morning, waking up at 5:15 am, I naturally started going to sleep earlier, around 10-10:30...

up at 7:30 for school(it helps living on campus,we leave breakfast when the first bell rings) or 6:00 on mondays when i run before school..
so i usually get 7 hours but that all depends on work etc etc.. i need more, i know that with going to school 6 hours a day and the stress of it all i definately need more but cant..

Me too... although I usually drink my quota of water before dinner.... I might have a glass of water with dinner, but the hard core chugging... Used to be Diet Coke, but am now focusing on water.... happens during the day. Plenty of time to empty my bladder in full before turning in....I get up around 645-7 and I go to bed around 10-1030.
I NEVER compromise on my sleep... When Mocha was a puppy, she kept us up most of the night with HER pee breaks...we got sleep in 2 hour intervals.... this went on for 2 full months until we discovered she had worms and a bladder infection (!) Poor baby! Anyway, my husband fell asleep at the wheel and swerved into oncoming traffic on his way home from work. Luckily, no one was there... as for me, I was jostled awake by my YOGA instructor, after the class had cleared out... and found myself nodding off at work...I'm utterly useless without my sleep.

In bed by 10 every night -- up at 6-6:30ish. I do homework and workout during the day and my husband cleans the house most of the time. I also rarely watch TV unless I'm on the treadmill or trainer. Life is pretty chaotic and I will be really glad when I am done!

On weeknights, usually 6-7 hours with no bathroom breaks. I usually wake up once or twice a night when the neighbors' dog starts barking, but it's only for a few seconds. On weekends, I try to get 8-9 hours, but I have a hard time lying in bed any longer than that without my back hurting.
